多くの葉巻をヒュミドールで熟成させていると、葉巻を保管しているヒュミドール（湿度管理用の箱）つまり、ミニサイズの例:Boveda69%が乾燥していることに気付きました。そのため、ボベダ・ヒュミディパックへの給水を頻繁に行っています。
While aging many cigars in a humidor, I noticed that the humidor (humidity control box) storing the cigars, specifically the mini-size Boveda 69%, was drying out. As a result, I frequently need to rehydrate the Boveda humidity pack.
特に冬場は空気が乾燥しているため、意識的に加湿していましたが、最近は気温が安定してきたこともあり、少し油断していました。その結果、ボベダが乾燥し、湿度計の数値が55％まで低下してしまいました。たばこの葉は適切な湿度を保つことで美味しく吸うことができます。喫煙は単にたばこ葉を燃やして煙を吸い込むだけではなく、適切な湿度管理によってその味わいや香りが大きく変わるのです。（辛さ、コク、甘み、などなど）
Especially during winter when the air is dry, I was consciously humidifying, but recently, as the temperature has stabilized, I became a bit careless. As a result, the Boveda dried out and the hygrometer reading dropped to 55%. Tobacco leaves can be enjoyed best when maintained at proper humidity. Smoking is not just about burning tobacco leaves and inhaling smoke; proper humidity control greatly affects the taste and aroma (spiciness, richness, sweetness, etc.).

ボベダは、主に高価な木製楽器や食品などの湿度管理が重要なものに使用される湿度調整アイテムです。たばこ葉に使用するのはその湿度調整機能がたばこの保存にも適しているためです。つまり、Bovedaはたばこ葉専用の製品ではなくさまざまな用途で利用されています。
Boveda is a humidity control item primarily used for items requiring humidity management, such as expensive wooden instruments and food. It's used for tobacco leaves because its humidity control function is also suitable for tobacco preservation. In other words, Boveda is not exclusively for tobacco leaves but is used for various purposes.
Bovedaの特徴として、加湿と除湿の両方が可能な「2WAY機能」があります。しかし、加湿のみに使用できると誤解されがちで、水分がなくなったら使い捨ててしまう人も多いようです。ですが、ボベダは再利用が可能で適切な方法で水分を補充することで繰り返し使用することができます。
A key feature of Boveda is its "2-WAY function" that allows both humidification and dehumidification. However, it's often misunderstood as only for humidification, and many people dispose of it when it runs out of moisture. But Boveda can be reused and used repeatedly by replenishing moisture through proper methods.

Bovedaに水分を補充する方法は比較的簡単です。水を含ませた珪藻土コースターから空気中に水分が放出され、それをBovedaが吸収します。タッパーなどの密閉容器の中にボベダと珪藻土コースターを入れる。百均で売ってる透明の石をタッパー一杯に入れてその上に珪藻土を置いて、時間をかけて湿気を吸収させる方法が効果的です。（ドラッグストアで売っている精製水(about 100yen)を使います。※水道水はやめておくこと。）
The method of replenishing moisture to Boveda is relatively simple. Moisture is released into the air from a water-soaked diatomaceous earth coaster, which Boveda then absorbs. Place the Boveda and diatomaceous earth coaster in a sealed container like a Tupperware. An effective method is to fill the container with clear stones (available at 100-yen shops), place the diatomaceous earth on top, and let it absorb moisture over time. (Use distilled water available at drugstores (about 100 yen) - do not use tap water.)
重要なポイントは、Bovedaは空気中の湿度を吸収する仕組みになっており、直接水に浸すと吸水しないという点です。そのため、湿度の高い環境を珪藻土下に作り、時間をかけて吸水させることが必要です。
The key point is that Boveda is designed to absorb humidity from the air and won't absorb water if directly submerged. Therefore, it's necessary to create a high-humidity environment under the diatomaceous earth and allow absorption over time.
4. 吸湿のための道具はダイソーでも購入可能

タッパーの中で珪藻土コースターが水分を放出し、Bovedaがそれをゆっくりと吸収することで給水が可能になります。短期間で吸水させようと直接水に浸してしまうと、ボベダのフィルターが損傷し、使えなくなる可能性があるため注意が必要です。
The diatomaceous earth coaster releases moisture inside the container, which Boveda slowly absorbs. Be careful not to submerge Boveda directly in water to speed up absorption, as this can damage the filter and make it unusable.
5. シャグのコンディション管理にBovedaを活用しましょう

Bovedaは1枚数百円で購入できますが、再利用が可能なため、膜フィルターの性能が落ちるまで繰り返し使用することでコストを抑えられます。

Bovedaの寿命は、フィルターが湿度調整機能を失ったタイミングです。以下のような症状が現れた場合、交換を検討する必要があります：

私の経験では、Bovedaがカピカピになる前にタッパーへ入れる事で再利用可能回数が増える気がしています。使用環境によって異なりますので長期間使用する場合は、複数枚をローテーションしながら使用すると良いでしょう。
In my experience, placing Boveda in a container before it becomes completely dry seems to increase the number of possible reuses. Since conditions vary by environment, it's good to rotate multiple packs when using them long-term.
